Hi Leslee,

I wanted to duplicate one of my responders so that I could modify its content to suit another product and to reflect a different send from address but I don't seem able to do it.

For starters, the fields are not in line with the text but as there are only 3 fields and 3 lines of text without fields next to them, I assume the empty fields are in the correct order.

In the previous QTP system you had to first create the new responder you wished to duplicate to, so in this example I created a responder called 7leagueboot_delivery. I then went to my powerstrider_delivery responder and attempted to duplicate it to the new one. I was met with 2 hurdles. The first being that it asks for a responder code but I can see this code mentioned nowhere. The next was on attempting to duplicate with the provided password I got a message telling me that the responder already existed.

"Ok" I thought, "let's try deleting the new responder and duplicating again because maybe Leslee has this setup to create the responder via the duplication function."

I was wrong, because this time I got a message informing me that the responder code is wrong.

Can you please explain to me how this actually works?

Hi A,

We have another IE problem, as you know this system was designed to work primerily in Firefox and we keep coming across these IE anomalies.

I have sent it to Hans and he will fix it today. Sorry for the inconvenience.

It works exactly the same as the old system, except it creates a new responder for you automatically, just put in any name you want and the system will tell you if it's available.

The Responder code: is the Responder password you will find in Settings, if this is blank in your (from) responder then you can leave it blank in the duplicate function.

I'll let you know when Hans has fixed this IE problem.

Happy New Year by the way!

I have duplicated "powerstrider_delivery" to a new responder "7leagueboot_delivery".
It's working fine it's just the boxes that are in the wrong place.
Not sure why you got an error message?

Thanks Leslee.

Unfortunately, I opened the responder settings and made several changes, some of which took a long time to setup in the background (creation of a logo, repeat subscription messages in multiple languages), and then saved my changes. The system said that my changes had been successfully saved but none had been saved whatsoever.

Edit: Following Hans' intervention I can confirm this is now working. Thanks once again for your rapid proreactivity.
