I use my responders for confirming order details and providing delivery tracking information. When I have a returning customer I need to resend the message sequence with the new order details.
In the old QTP system this was achieved by using the Database Search to find the subscriber and then select what you wanted to do (http://i34.tinypic.com/2eun3tw.jpg) with that subscriber but it seems this is not possible with the new system.
Can someone please tell me how to achieve it as I desperately need to confirm a delivery to a returning customer?

Hi QuickTell,
I think what you want to do can be achieved by going to:
Messages > Send broadcast > New sendout >
Select message
Choose responder
Filter by email
Type in the email address you want to send it to
Tick immediate send
Click Add for sending.
Alternatively Hans has re-added the Send sequence in Database search for you.
It appears after you have searched for the client.

Hi Leslee,
I regret the broadcast option won't work. I need to send the entire message sequence and it won't allow for that. Next, there is no possibility of selecting a message because that only applies to a single broadcast message.
Because of my marketing strategy the need to send the entire sequence is absolutely imperative. If I explain the content of the messages, you will understand why:
Message 1: confirmation of order, transaction ID, tracking #, and appreciation for having given us his/her business.
Message 2: ask how he/she is progressing in the sport and whether he requires any assistance/advice?
Message 3: keeping track of ongoing progress and request for photos/videos of customer's exploits over the past 3 months.
Message 4: ask whether customer would like to be put in touch with other people practicing the sport in their area and whether he/she would be interested to join a club?
Basically, I am bonding with the customer by going way beyond normal customer service and taking an interest in his progress. This is important for creating word of mouth advertising and giving the customer many reasons to stay with us in the event of future purchases. The messages are based on the product actually purchased and not a standard set for all purchases which means there is no risk of loss of credibility by sending the same sequence to a returning customer.
The way the old QTP system functioned catered for this perfectly because the Database Search allowed you to locate a subscriber and then either send him the full message sequence, or selected messages of the responder you were in, or export/inject him into a different responder. Plus, on exporting him you could again select the messages you wanted him to receive.
As things stand with the new system, you can search for a subscriber but once found, you can only send him the full sequence. For my purposes today, that will do the trick however, it would be best if Hans could add the option to specify which messages should be sent. If I take my previous example, imagine a customer has been to my store and purchased over the counter. I have no need to thank him by mail, nor provide him with delivery tracking info. But I WOULD need to start him on message 2 in this particular case.
Incidentally, it appears the Database Search is case sensitive because I had trouble locating my customer. In France, all surnames are written in upper case but I'm so used to searching in lower case that I failed to realise that this was the reason the DB search was unable to find my customer. Is case sensitivity in the DB search really necessary?
Best regards,
Adrian

Hi Adrian,
I have forwarded your concerns to Hans and I'm sure he will look into it very quickly as usual.
As a small explanation, there were some things in the old system that I had no idea why they were necessary. Consequently I couldn't explain them well enough for Hans to build them in, this has meant that they have either been left out completely or put on hold for later.
If there is anything else you feel is necessary but missing from the new system let me know, with a good explanation as to what it's for and I will get Hans to add it.
Regards
Leslee

Thanks Leslee. If I bump into anything I will surely let you know.
My biggest problem at the moment is not understanding some of the newer features and terminology used. Regretfully, I'm too busy at the moment to be able to go into that further but I will eventually.
